Questions about flying to Dubai

Distances, airports, documents, seasons and prices. If something is missing, include it in the Notes of a quote request.

How long is a private flight from London to Dubai?

Roughly 6h30 to 7h30 nonstop in a large cabin jet, depending on winds and routing. A super-midsize jet can manage it nonstop when the load is light, but London sits at the edge of its range, so a short fuel stop is sometimes planned instead.

Should we land at DXB or DWC?

It depends on where you are staying and when you travel. DXB is closer to Downtown, DIFC and Deira but tight on slots and parking at busy times; DWC lies south-west, toward Jebel Ali, Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah, with more room for private aircraft. Your advisor recommends one for your dates.

Can we fly nonstop from New York?

Yes, in an ultra long range jet such as a Gulfstream G650ER or Global 7500, in about 12 to 13 hours. Large cabin jets usually need one fuel stop on the way.

What documents do passengers need for the UAE?

A passport for everyone on board, valid for the whole trip, and any visa required for each traveller's nationality. Entry rules differ by passport, so we confirm them for your group before departure.

Can pets come to Dubai?

Dogs and cats need a UAE import permit and up-to-date vaccination records, as well as the operator's agreement. Allow several weeks to prepare, and tell us about any pet when you request a quote.

What does a flight to Dubai cost?

Mostly a matter of hours. As a rough guide, a large cabin jet at an estimated $8,500–13,000 an hour, flying about seven hours from London, puts the flight time alone near $60,000–90,000 one way, before fees and repositioning. Your quote gives the exact all-in figure.

Who operates the aircraft?

A certificated direct air carrier: an FAA Part 135 operator for US flights, or a European or Gulf operator flying under its own air operator certificate. Private Jet to Dubai is a broker and names the operator before you book.

Are taxes and airport charges included?

Yes. Quotes include the landing, handling, navigation and passenger charges known when we quote, plus any applicable taxes. Anything that can only be known on the day is flagged.

How far ahead should we book for New Year in Dubai?

As early as you can. The days around Christmas and New Year are the hardest of the year for slots, aircraft parking and good aircraft, and the best options often go weeks ahead.

Can a trip combine Dubai with other stops?

Yes. Multi-city trips, for example Geneva to Dubai, on to the Maldives and home, can be planned as one itinerary. Enter the first leg in the form and describe the rest in Notes.

Is a membership or deposit needed to ask for a price?

Neither is needed. Asking for a quote is free and leaves you under no obligation; payment follows only a signed charter agreement.

What time zone is Dubai in?

Gulf Standard Time, UTC+4, all year. The UAE does not change its clocks, so the difference to Europe and North America shifts when theirs do.

Can we travel during Ramadan?

Certainly. Flights operate normally; daily life slows a little, business hours are often shorter and visitors are asked to be discreet about eating and drinking in public during daylight.

Can you arrange a car on arrival?

We can pass car requests to the operator and the handling agent in Dubai. Mention it in Notes and include your destination in the city.
